MEETINGS ~ A TOOL OF OA RECOVERY

"Meetings are gatherings of two or more
compulsive overeaters who come together to
share their personal experience and the
strength and hope OA has given them.
Though there are many types of meetings,
fellowship with other compulsive overeaters
is the basis of them all.
Meetings give us an opportunity
to identify and confirm our common problem
and to share the gifts we receive through this
program."

In Overeaters Anonymous we seek to overcome our compulsive eating....One Day at a Time. Pull up a chair, and a mouse or trackball, and join us, because "together we can do what we could never do alone." (Rozanne's prayer). Is OA for You? <---click and see for yourself.

Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a program based upon the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Today, it is an organization that has meetings on every continent and is growing. It treats the food addiction and weight problem not as a lack of willpower or a moral defect, but as a disease that can be arrested.

This 12-step program offers a recovery for the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of compulsive eating. OA is not a professional diet club. OA does not endorse specific food plans or diets. OA offers a message of hope and recovery from this serious problem. No matter what size you are when you come to OA, if you want to be free of the obsession with food, the OA program can work for you. If you want to learn how to live a life free compulsive eating----- OA can help!!

Anorexics, and Bulimics are welcome in OA, and most find recovery here as well, because the main crux of the problem is the issues behind the manner in which we act out our disease. We all have a faulty relationship with food, whether we compulsively overeat, or compulsively binge, and purge ... or compulsively starve. OA Works when YOU work it, so come to meetings, and use the The Eight Tools of OA Recovery .

Look at the chat schedule, Stepping Stones Meeting Schedule, and come join us. Helping you helps us, and vice versa.
