We got trampled by a team from Ohio by 80 Imps. We were seeded 85th. and
they were 44th. The first 9 seeds received byes! We played 64 boards
and lost each quarter by approximately 20.

A bidding problem?
After 1 NT (4th seat, white, 15-17);
What do you bid with:
AT7
JT74
J95
QT6
I decided to pass at IMPS!
At the other table, my hand bid stayman
then 2NT/2D was raised to 3NT.
Do you change the range of 1NT in 4th seat?
W/o much history with partner, I thought he may have 14 and not a
good 17.
I'd like to know if you/anyone has analyzed the percent
of hands which make three with 24, 25, 26 hcps?
I have wanted to
be at 3 with 24 for years now and "remember" that more than half
have been successful. Is this a delusion? Bad defense?
Don't the odds (Vul 10-6; nvul 6-5) favor aggression then?
The hcp frequencies have to be considered as well as
the odds that 2 NT will fail with 23.
