Deep Tissue

Refers to a massage style that affects the deeper tissue structures of the body. Heck, what can you say... it hurts, but breathe deeply, exhale slowly and it will all be okay.

Energy Healing

"Airy Fairy" stuff ... GUESS AGAIN! There is a force, or vibration common to all living matter. The smooth flow of this force is the predeterminator of good health. If this flow becomes out of balance in the body, the person experiences a sense of uneasiness which may turn into something as minor as a tension headache, tense muscles or something as serios as an illness. Techniques have been developed to affect the energetic vibration to bring the body back into balance. Energy is very subtle, and if you can allow yourself to slow down long enough in this fast paced world, you WILL feel it and you WILL be amazed! People who practice yoga and tai chi may respond to this subtle work more quickly.

Reflexology

A science which uses the theory that there are reflexes in the feet relative to every organ and all parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes may help various health problems. And when has a foot massage ever felt anything but GREAT? Unless youÕre ticklish of course!

Shiatsu

Used to increase circulation and prevent imbalances in the body, as well as aid in the soothing of the nervous system. By applying pressure to certain points on the body the natural recuperative powers of the body are generated and toxins are dispersed.

Swedish

Most commonly used for relaxation, this modality uses a system of long gentle strokes, kneading and friction techniques to promote relaxation, improving circulation, range of motion, relieving muscle tension, dispersing toxins and boosting the efficiency of the immune system.

Transitional

"Sculpting away excess to reveal essence."

This describes the mission statement of Transformational Body Work. The focus is upon unconscious behavior and in-effectual life habits. The recipient and the practitioner create an awareness leading to the resolution of un-healed wounds and to the release of creative life force.
