This program is designed for internists, cardiologists and emergency medicine practitioners and will assist in a better understanding and practice of Cardiology.
The program will concentrate on presenting the NEWER DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES used in clinical and invasive cardiology.
The program will focus on the newer techniques for managing acute myocardial infarctions, risk assessment and management, prevention and treatment of valvular and coronary artery disease, all aspects of interventional cardiology, treatment of congestive heart failure, (pharmacologic and surgical) treatment of arrhythmias including the use of pacemakers.

Each week of the course will include intensive training and demonstrations in the catheter laboratory or ward or operating theatre areas.

Registration: A Registration fee of US$ 1500 is payable by bank draft to an Australian Bank prior to the commencement of the course.
Cancellations: All cancellations are to be in writing and made one month prior to the commencement of the course. A refund of 95% of the total registration fee will be made.

Insurance: The Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology and the Victorian Heart Centre cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained by loss or damage to property owned by registrants. We advice you to ensure adequate travel and personal effects insurance. Unless reciprocal agreements exist, registrants are not covered under the Government Medicare Scheme.
Accommodation:This can be arranged for you if required. Accommodation varies from economically priced rooms in a guest house with your own cooking facilities within walking distance from the hospital to a variety of apartments or motels situated a short tram ride away.
