WHEN YOU HAVE A.D.D.
IT'S LIKE THIS....
These are ALL someone's Real-Life Experiences.

(Do these things happen to you OFTEN?!)

E-mail me with your own! I may like to include them.

Anyone with a perpetual "Surprised Puppy" expression who can't seem to wipe it off their face is h-i-g-h-l-y suspect of A.D.D. in MY book!
(Think about it; you'll see what I mean.)
Since your brain's focus mechanism behaves like a ping-pong ball,
(If this ball is not moving, click "Reload")
other people have a hard time following you.
Their facial reactions are sooooo familiar:

"Where did THAT come from?"

"Are you really an Alien?"

And how many times have you heard these?

"Did you hear a word I said?!"

"How many times do I have to tell you...."

"Earth to (your name here)!"

When is this ever going to sink in?

You drive past the same places on the highway hundreds of times

but a realization interrupts your train of thought somewhere along the straight and wide,

you suddenly don't know where you are.

(Now you really feel weird. Very DISORIENTING!)

No matter where you've been, you're perceived as being "Out to Lunch."

But it's really "All In Your Head."

You had to ask your kids the same question five times so now they're getting hostile with you.

You finished your shopping list, but halfway to the store (or once inside) you realize you left it on the kitchen table - again! So you call yourself rude names again and make the best of it.
You try to drink as much (water, soda, tea, etc.) as humanly possible so you can get up and walk to the bathroom often - because..... you're Too Old to break your pencil On Purpose at work!...

The main thing to achieve is getting up and MOVING AROUND.

But Relief has its price.

Whatever you did or said, it was "inappropriate."
In college your Art teacher tells you perplexedly,

"You have.... SPASMS of talent!" How's THAT for a good pat on the back?!!

What do you say, "Thanks," or "Ouch?" (Or both)?

You have had strong feelings of being a "Reject" and are either a

"Fringe Dweller" or the nucleus of action - or both!

At school you never knew what it was like at the front of the lunch or recess line.

(If you ever got there, of course you didn't stay!)

You suspect your clock is REALLY a Vacuous Black Hole.
Your Mom dropped you off 45 minutes late for kindergarten because you wouldn't get ready on time, then after school when asked about your experience being late, you said (and actually believed) "I wasn't late, everyone else started early today;

except two kids who were absent.... yeah, two kids were absent.... and one was me.

But then I came, so only one was absent. Because I was there!"

You feel like there are "ANTS in your bones" when forced to sit for long periods.
(I know it's a spider; I needed ants, so if you know of a good little ant graphic out there, please let me know about it!)
Once that feeling surfaces it multiplies..by.. the.. second.
(This is what hyperactivity feels like.)
Though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of.....

many, many things I'd like to stop and take a look at -

or many other very interesting things I would much rather be doing.....

that's exactly what I end up doing.

When you show up, others thought you.....

1.) got lost.....

2.) had an accident or a breakdown.....

3.) got carjacked..... or

4.) "fell in!"

Who invented that Vacuum Clock, anyway?
You see aspects of things that others don't notice. When you share these thoughts,

others are struck by your remarkable, profound insight.

They wonder why you aren't that way all the time.

What they can't see is that you usually are.
