Finally, here is a picture of my incision! The belly button stitches are still in, due to come out on May 18. When I saw Dr. Fobi at 15 days post op, I thought the belly button stitches were coming out that day. He took a look and said we’d wait until 21 days post-op. He mentioned that I was lucky because they were still in the process of trying out this new incision and that in the future he will be charging extra for this tiny little incision. Since they are still practicing and my incision is experimental there was no extra charge for it. Considering the fact that I was prepared to have the big incision and no belly button, I was thrilled when I woke up with my surprise.

Understand that this small incision was possible because I had the Panniculectomy (tummy tuck) at the same time I had my Fobi Pouch. It was mentioned in my final pre-op appointment that this procedure was available and if it was possible they would try to do it.

At this point, I would say if the doctors think it is possible to perform the Panniculectomy and the Fobi Pouch with the new incision, they will suggested it during a pre-op visit.

Please note that these pictures are all 14+ days post-op and my tummy was still swollen.
