She Weeps Alone

She feels the sun each day shine hope,
And yet she weeps alone.

She smells the flowers abundant in strength,
Still she weeps alone.

She hears the sea rush in with power,
So why does she weep alone?

Look into her eyes of sorrow,
No hope, no strength, no power,
How can I let her weep alone?

I listen to your pleas for comfort,
I will not let you weep alone.

Cry if I must to feel your pain,
So you do not weep alone.

I make a promise from my heart,
No longer to let you weep alone.

Together we have hope, we have strength,
and we have power,
Never again will we weep alone.

Written by: Barbara Blye, my beloved sister. She never lets me weep alone.
