Weight Training For DummiesAgain, an exceptional book. The whole line of books, are wonderful. They are all geared towards people who may not have expertise in a particular area and do not have the time to learn all of information. With this line of books you can go and learn just what you need to to get started, however if you want to learn more, more power to you!! Now about this book...Wonderful illustated pictures to show you the proper way to start your workout program. Great tips on safety and alignment, and pictures with explainations on different equiptment etc.
You know that everyone, especially women should weight train!! Sometimes the fear, especially for women, is that they will bulk up. In most cases, that is not true. Females do not have enough testosterone in there bodies to create to muscle bulk. Which means your fear can be put to rest. Nutrition For Dummies This is a great book for a walk on the healthy side of eating. Forget dieting..dieting has the word "die" right in the middle. That is because, on most diets, you are so starved for food you will feel like you want to die. Then some companies give you, what I like to call "quick fix pills". They want you to think that the answer is in a pill and it is not. They want you to take the pills so the weight will come off fast, and so you will have to buy more, to keep it off. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying these pills do not work because most of them do. However, they are a "quick fix" for most people. A majority of people, if they loose the weight fast with or without the use of pills, will gain the weight back and possibly more, when they go off the diet. The key is...to change your eating habits for life. This book can help you do that. It is not a diet consultant, it is better!!
