Microscopy
The left ovary was polycystic and measured about 5 cm
in greatest diameter. The main histopathological finding is a degenerating
luteal cyst which is surrounded and infiltrated by a large number of small
lymphocytes and plasma cells (Figs. 1, 2).
By immunohistochemistry, the lymphocytes proved to be CD 8 positive cy
totoxic T cells.
