MAX WERTHEIMER: Contributions in the field of mental health and psychopathology

In contemporary psychology books, around the world, WERTHEIMERs major accomplishments are now treated as landmarks in the history due to his research contributions to the psychology of perception and thinking.

On the other hand, his work and influence in the research of neurobiological disorders, psychopathology and mental health related problems are hardly known. This might be due to the fact that his studies on aphasia, for example, were not published in ordinary scientific journals, and that several orther major contributions of WERTHEIMER were not published under his name, but under the name of associates of WERTHEIMER.
