The Traumatic Incident Reduction Association (TIRA) regularly teaches and/or co-sponsors this Workshop--a 4-day, 28 hour Clinical Skill Development Program for the Helping Professions. Continuing Education Materials and Certificate are provided on request at any TIR workshop sponsored by the Association. In addition to developing clinical skills, participants often describe the workshop as a valuable personal growth experience.

Fees and cancellation policies vary depending on instructor and venue. In some instances, group rates are available.
Continuing Education: If sponsored or co-sponsored by TIRA, this program provides 30 hours of professional continuing education credit.
Provider Approval: TIRA is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists, and by the Association of Trauma and Stress Specialists to offer CE credits towards certification or re-certification by the International Certification Board of Trauma Counseling. The Association maintains responsibility for the program.
Participants in all specialties will be provided with a certificate for this workshop upon completion of attendance and skill demonstration requirements. This certificate may be used to secure CE credits from participants respective licensure boards and/or professional associations.

Also includes Unblocking, a TIR-related adaptable technique which can be applied to broad areas of life (e.g. "your marriage", "your job", etc.). Unblocking can be used to prepare a client for TIR, or address areas of life that don't fit the single-incident or thematic model.

This workshop aims to give the student some solutions to complex and difficult TIR sessions along with teaching a variety of additional related techniques that can be used in conjunction with TIR with traumatised people. The workshop is about 40% theory and 60% experiential. The workshop includes techniques for:

There will be the opportunity to use most of the techniques taught on the workshop during the workshop. This is an intensive workshop.
