Say a big hello to the future Mrs. Kellie!! I got engaged!!! Do you see the size of that ring? Isn’t it beautiful? Chris will be home in a little while so I’m going to try to write as much as I can. So if it’s a be continued entry, please forgive but that’s because of the time constraints.

Humm, I will start with the engagement stuff first and I will tell you about the trip later. Chris proposed to me on June 3 at the Asticou Azalea Gardens in Northeast Harbor, Maine. He was quite sneaky. He took me to the Cleftstone Manor which was a bed and breakfast place for the night. That night, on our way to dinner at our favorite Maine lobster place “Thurstons” in Bernard, we were driving and we saw the beautiful garden so we decided to stop. It was just beautiful. The flowers were blooming and everything was green. After walking through the garden, he asked me to sit on the bench. We just talked there for a while and then he began the proposal. It was very romantic telling me how much he loves and cares for me, how I am an important part of his life, and how he would like to spend the rest of his life with me, and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was crying like a baby and of course I said yes!. Then we went to Thurston’s and they gave us a bottle of wine on the house to celebrate our engagement. After dinner, he brought me back to our room where he had some flowers waiting and a chilled bottle of wine. He lit the fire and we enjoyed the rest of our evening.

Okay, so when is the date, huh? Well we are shooting for October 2 or 16th of this year. Meaning that we have a little more than a 100 days to plan. I’ve already picked out my dress and we are meeting with a minister, a catering company, and viewing a hall this weekend. Am I crazy or what?!?!? Well, I better get off of here. Chris will be home in a few so I will try to write some more tomorrow. Take care all-Kellie
