1938 50 dinar Yugoslavia Obverse has Peter II, the last king of Yugoslavia. Peter became king in 1934 at age 11 when his father was assassinated. German forces occupied and divided Yugoslavia in 1941. Communist forces under Marshal Tito took over the government after the Germans defeat in 1945 and abolished the monarchy. Peter then moved to the United States where he worked in public relations. The reverse has the royal coat-of-arms with the double-headed eagle.
