Comment on: NASA Wary of Relying on Russia at 3/7/2008 12:41 AM EST
N.A.S.A. high cost is due to WASTE. At beginning of space shuttle, idea was to make it BIG, to decieve other nations into thinking it is EXTREME feat. That is due primarily thru use of AMMONIUM PEROXIDE, relatively LOW Power explosive combustant, it takes Huge Rocket to propell such large orbitor.yet, At least it is possible.

However, U.S. often sent near empty Shuttles into space, Such things as Ant Farms for kids enthusiasm are more of KIT sales than true Research.

Most rockets use propellant that are Much,Much more explosive, therefore more lift per pound of propellant.IE Chromium Peroxide. We are at LAST DANCE of cheap energy, now with it

just COSTING Too Much to continue with deception that lifting such heavy body for so little reason is of much good, let alone how little public has use of it. Therefore MORE EFFIECIENT & KNOWN TECHNOLOGIES take Limelight. As satelite mapping, GPS & Cell Phone arrays nationwide all want as low of cost as possible for each launch.

Its Too Bad, Yet U.S. is really very poorly managed on all fronts, so be it.It was intentional mismanagement, why N.A.S.A wants to let other nations steal, by default or locked in dumbness of business & useages I do not know.

Comment on: The News Is There, but You Might Have to Search for It at 3/6/2008 6:09 PM EST
Ordinary people take some time & learn subject & do file some newsworthy ideas, yet professional news writerINg TEAMS grind everyday compiling futher information on specific subjects.Reporting finalized over years or even decades of time

So often ordinary person is simply repeating what little they know of subject & insisting its very important, as it took months of research to gather & understand.

When reporters write comments, its every word has depth of meaning, yet i get stuck with however or yet, two sentence intros & not sure what word is best to describe specific event. So its worth learning experience & can really sharpen Mind, yet read plethors of news reports by pros & stay informed.

Comment on: A Canyon-Size Age Difference at 3/6/2008 5:55 PM EST
mISSISSIPPI rIVER is about 300 feet below surronding soil IN MPLS, yet it too must be OLD, so wouldn't 6,000 feet of erosion take aful long time, NO other river in World has such deep canyon as Grand Canyon.

It is tru solid Rock, Not soil or soft limestone. River in bottom Flows Very Fast However, More of Torrent.

Comment on: Supreme Court to Release Same-Day Tapes at 3/5/2008 12:46 AM EST
One thing that Milatary Action in Iraq SHOWS is that Weapons Make Invasion tough & make occupation even tougher. Our Government Polices can be quite extraordinary(600,000 vIET nAM vets DIED AS RESULT OF URGING OF hON fORD), then turning about 180 degrees in just few years times(Hon Carters' amnesty). People overreact to multitude number of things & everyone has need for self protection.

One BIG trouble with GUN registration is, that yOUR Own Gun can be used against you as suicide implied action, even if its stolen, that thieft can then USE weapon registured lawfully to you upon you & often it is written off as self inflicted.

If your home is invaded by another, YOU will almost certainly be killed, its criminals method, if you have registured weapon, anyone can research that on ATF internet. Imagine being caught away from weapon, some common murderer entering your home & useing your own weapon upon you, all because you lawfully registured it. No One woiuld enter Home if there could be multitude of hidden weapons inside.

You Must stop perpetrator at window or door, never letting tresspasser into property at all or you will have dance for your life. Its tough question on what is best, yet police insist on having weapons, so in US, do likewise. Maybe in another country of more peaceful purpose, however NOT in US where NON Violence NOT rewarded, in most critical situations.

Comment on: Huckabee Drops Out of Presidential Race at 3/5/2008 12:18 AM EST
I believe it is short sighted for all canidates to drop out or concede, why? Because one of our BEST Presidents Hon Ronald Regan ,whom was democrat in California as Govenor, then tried for over 20 years to WIN Republician Nomination, just learned More & more each time of process.

Finally Blessing this Nation with Honourable Service that Was TOP Notch.

If You want to be President, You Must Know How to Learn that from Real Practice, repetitively going over each state, again & again, In spite of how hard it may be, YOU Have to know territory.

It is Unfortuneate that someone whom could of retired & lived Nice Life was convinced to Throw it All Away. It is impossible, I doubt if Comcast has 150,000 paid accounts in DC, let alone ?daylert?.

Connecting internet to existing business, well GO SLOW, as page views are generated by machines that connect to noone, just false promise of intrest.

Person was millionaire, Now Bankruptcy & untold future are all that is offered.

Comment on: Fast Forward's Help File at 3/2/2008 11:28 AM EST
xp SOFTWARE ON vISTA IS SURE LOSS WITH nt6, THATS uLTIMATE. Xp is NT5 & two will NOT work together, ever.

For those whose Vista has broken down to NT5, well......its NOT Vista in anY way except Name. Vista is finally beginning to arrive in Ultimate, as few dozen mainboards now exist, yet its still sparse field.

Personal Computer means that, buy & build it yourself, not exciting idea for most, yet its fairly easy. Although Big Box retailers now exclusively sell Vista, its always, still NT5, as NT6 has not enough Hardware & Software support developed at this time. Maybe answer is really stick to your old system till new system of NT6 is picking up pace, as theres no difference between one NT5 system & another.

Comment on: Robotics Contest Entices Va. Teens at 3/2/2008 11:16 AM EST
Robotics is thousands of years of making Wooden machines to create stuff, fascination developed in asia.

Todays Robotics are metal & servo gizmos, why?, its much harder to start from scratch. Yet its fascination thats key point. Once you can make one robot you can design hundreds.

Metal framework of today is to confused less robotically minded that obvious mechanisms are too hard to invent. Start with WOOD & DESIGN/build your OWN Machine.
