| JESUS IS THE ANSWER |
| Baptism: The Greek word "Baptizo" means to immerse or submerge. The Christian baptism includes a person going down under the water and coming out of the water. The first symbolizes death to the old life, which was all sinful and hell; the latter symbolizes the start of a new life with the help of Christ. A person, if not baptized, can stillclaim himself/herself a Christian if his/her faith is strong enough to make him/her do so. However, baptism holds a significance in a person Christianity path: it is declaring to the world that you want to end your old sinful way of life and live for Jesus from that moment onwards. It is, more importantly, declaring to devils that you belong to God and heaven. What a way! Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist; "Jesus would have done the same", isn't it some of you's favourite quote? He was resurrected, we can be, too, just like Him. When you come out of the water, you are resurrected! It symbolizes burial to your old weaknesses and old sinful way of living. |
| Prayer: Prayer is a promise to God. Think if you trust a friend, you'd tell him/her stuff that happens to you, happy or sad. God is almighty; He wants to be your friend and can certainly do! The first step lies in you: talk to Him silently before you sleep, anything. You may not want to think you are talking with God there, just imagine someone's listening. I started like this, hope your faith will grow that soon you'll realize SOMEONE is there, always, listening and helping! |
