Comments.

Whole day still sore after Sunday’s PJHalf 21k, esp in the quads, and forefeet.  Left forefoot really stiff.

Start at two trees.  Thought this time had tied left shoe properly, still got problem with the insole.  At Tesco end, again repositioned left foot properly into shoe.  Ach, this could be a problem.  Anyhow for some reason this run didn’t feel like was slapping down the feet as per last week.  Seem to glide smoother during transition.  Whatever.

Thought wanna run at slower rate, ended up per “normal” rate, finish at 37 mins.  Overall a good & enjoyable recovery run.

Characters:  Running Chinese couple.  Walking Malay couple.

Postrun:  Stretched to loosen up, immediately felt better afterwards.  Haha…  Simply because didn’t do enough stretching post 21k, recovery was slowed.

Read thru Galloway book again.  Need 45 min min for maintenance run to enhance fatburn mode, also LSDs need to be >90 min for same purpose.  Looks like have to ramp up to 7k for midweek run.  Also thinking about strategy to improve further, how to get within 2:30 half-marathon that seems to be the standard.  Hardest qualifying seem to be Ipoh run at 2:00, followed by PJ Half @ 2:15.  Then the average 2:30 for Seremban, Putrajaya, PD 21k.  Easiest would still be 3:00 for PBR, KLIM.  To run a 2:30 21k need to run at 7:09 per km, which is doable for short range, but dunno if sustainable over all of 21k.
