Comments: Sheesh! I just had to be a hero to run 5k today, especially after a "system purge" in the afternoon. I virtually ran out of energy 3k into the run. My legs felt like iron, stiff and heavy. Breathing was totally out of sync. This was NOT an enjoyable run. Now I'm think I will probably rest tomorrow, too tired. Which means a 6.4k on Friday, rest Saturday, and 10k Sunday. All still within plan, I think. After today's run, I'm thinking "Am I ready for a half-marathon this year?" Maybe I should slowly build up this year and try next year. Whaddeheck, I'll try to stick to the training plan and see how it goes. But still, the 10k looming this Sunday is kinda scary. Something like a psychological barrier for me. If I can run Sunday's 10k then probably I can run any distance (yeah right!) Also I'm thinking of how to practice drinking fluids during my forthcoming 10k run. Maybe park the car at Two Trees, leave a can of 100-plus on the roof. Then as I go past the car after I have ran 5k, grab the can, walk, drink and resume running. I just hope nobody takes my drink hehehe...
Post run: left foot now has two sore spots at insole. I thought I licked the shoe problem by smoothing out the worn fabric at that particular spot. Slight sore spot on right leg at same position. Shoe problem again. Or maybe I pronate too much. Or maybe I need new shoes.
