Comments on Liverpool's Season Date: 13/5/01Well, Liverpool's done a really great job in the recent match against man utd. Was some feat eh, I mean after so many years, they finally won man utd at old trafford. Hope they do keep up the form. By the way, I can't really write much here cause the tv station have not been showing many liverpool games.<

Alright, a very interesting 2nd half but a boring 1st half. Though i have to admit, Liverpool weren't playing very well and Arsenal dominated the game the whole time. Was pretty disappointed to watch how they played in the 1st half and 2nd half, not even coming close to scoring, except the last 15 minutes.
But thank god Liverpool managed to win. Finally! It's been like 5 years, since 1996 that they are finally in the FA cup finals and this season, it's even better, in all 3 cup finals!! Something that ALL Liverpool fans have waited for so very long!
Anyway, back to the match, wasn't really pleased that Houllier left McAllister out but i guess he's got a reason for it. - the pacier midfield of Arsenal. Then again, it really showed how much Liverpool needed the experience and skills of McAllister. When he came on in the last 15 minutes, the whole game seemed to change and was working towards Liverpool's way. Hm...i guess the subs and all, that might be the team Houllier would be choosing against Alaves. I can't wait for that game!
WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE! ONE MORE to go and treble winners they are gonna be! It's gonna be the best season for Liverpool! And the beginning of a new ERa and a new Liverpool! Oh and we mustn't forget the Charlton game, so very important to Liverpool!

THEY WON! Whoa! Finally, after waiting that long! Anyway more comments would be in match reports. The most recent speculation is that Fowler can now leave Anfield. After winning two cups, the Liverpool captain, being benched in recent games feel that he has now no place in Liverpool, with Houllier favouring Owen and Heskey over him. How true is this? We have no idea. But rumours say he's tagged at $15 million and clubs like Chelsea etc seem to be interested. Personally, I think that if Liverpool were to be going places, they need more players and the squad rotation method seems to be working really fine! I see no reason why Houllier should sell Fowler! He's like the 2nd last member of the 1996 squad left! And i'm almost certain Redknapp would be transferred soon, how soon? Well, we'll see! But i can't bear to see them leave!

Thoughts
With the new season starting on August 15, and so many
foreigners in the English game, it is certainly something
to look forward to. But like Arsene Wenger has said,
having so many of them in the English game would kill off
young talents. The figure is alarming, 103 out of the 220
Premiership players likely to start the new season is
English, with Chelsea being able to field a whole team of
foreigners.
