The following procedures will be used when responding to certain emergencies. Every attempt should be made to respond in the listed order unless the "Incident Commander" request certain equipment.
IN MACON RURAL RESPONSE DISTRICT:
Structure Fire: Pumper #91 Tanker #94 Equipment Truck #90 Chimney Fire: Pumper #91 Equipment Truck #90 Tanker #94 (stand-by) Vehicle Fire & 10-50: Pumper #91 Equipment Truck #90 Woods Fire: Tanker #94 Equipment Truck #90 OUT OF MACON RURAL RESPONSE DISTRICT (MUTUAL AID): Structure Fire: Tanker #94 Equipment Truck #90 Pumper #91 (stand-by) Vehicle Fire 10-50: Pumper #91 Equipment Truck #90 Woods Fire: Tanker #94Equipment Truck #90 should respond to all calls. If a truck is on "Stand-by", someone is at the station on "Stand-by" before Equipment Truck #90 leaves the station. Every effort is made to respond to all calls with two firefighters per truck. However, there are times when it is neccessary to respond with one firefighter in a truck.
"Incident Commander" At the Scene: Officers in charge at an incident are listed in order of rank: 901-Chief 902-1st Asst. Chief 903-2nd Asst. Chief 904-Captain 905-Captain 906-CaptainIf an Officer is not present at an incident, a seasoned firefighter will take charge. When responding to emergency calls in a Fire Department vehicle, all firemen should have full turnout gear.
