A true story
It is not a story of  some  few lovely memorial buildings that has been Smashed ,  its not about old trees that has been cut off or gardens that has been eliminated its about our history and future. There is no need to say a lot about Maadi, those whom lived there or used to visit Our Maadi knows how it was and what does it mean to Egyptians and Foreigners.
 
For us it was the land of trees, roses, green yards and stylish buildings. It was full of mystery about old  buildings and that history of politicians, foreign missions and celebrities that lived there. The "Kashab" canal dividing Maadi with old trees on both sides and bird hosting these trees giving it another beautiful scene. Beautiful dogs of different kinds to play with were always there. People were so cool as most of them used to know each other. For foreigners it was always a sweet stay however long with people kind to them and understanding there needs and their style of living.We had a space to live undisturbed, a space to play, and a space to park. No stores except in one street (St. No 9) No stores inside residential areas no restaurants etc. etc. 
Now
More and more stylish historic buildings are pulled down and more and more ugly overcrowded compounds and buildings are settled. Streets are 24 hourly crowded and noisy No place to walk or to park. Stores are opening anywhere disturbing your privacy and silence. More and more traffic police are pushed in an attempt to control this traffic jam but its hopeless the streets were not designed to hold all this cars or people.
 
DO SOMETHING TO HELP !!!!
     In spite of  a lot of rules and regulations specially intended  to stop collapsing old buildings sneaky ways of landlords is beating every rule. Corruption and bribes among  local authorities can handle any rules and the final result is our history architectural style and peace will be forever gone. Do not stand still let them know we understand our rights our history let them hear our voice loud and clear
SAVE THE FEW BUILDINGS THAT STILL EXIST
SAVE OUR FEW TREES LEFT
SAVE OUR GARDENS
SAVE OUR PEACE
NO MORE TRAFFIC
SAVE OUR HISTORY
LEAVE US ALONE FIND YOUSELVES ONTHER AREA TO BUILD AND MAKE MORE AND MORE MONEY
