Comments: I am a 61 year old diabetic, on Insulin since 1964. Last summer I had 5 heart artery bi-passes. Heart problems directly related to my Diabetes. It is almost impossible to keep my blood sugar at an acceptable level. I have lows in the 40's and highs in the 300's almost every day. I walk an hour every morning and eat meals on a regular schedule and follow the diet of Carbohydrates and protien as suggested by the hospital dieticians. Your Gluco Watch would help me to keep balanced so much easier than bl od testing does. Anxiously waiting to hear that it is on the market. An insulin reaction like I have may kill me one day. Comments: Hi! I was glad to read your letter. My poor son, Derek, has had diabetes for 10 years...he's now 22. Every day gets worse, it seems. Control is a nightmare. We are as low as we can get. I know, not a happy picture. Derek also has autism. He doesn' know what a horrific disease he has. He still cries at the shots & finger sticks. He still puts donuts in my cart...I give him every sugar free snack available, but its not the same to him. He can't tell me when he's low or high...I test frequently, b t still get abnormal blood sugars. I'd gladly give him my beta cells to take away his pain if I could. Thank you for listening.
