HELLO I have been an LPN since 1981. When I graduated from school I worked at a local hospital as a float nurse. Being a float nurse I worked in every department there, which at times, could prove to be very exciting. I now work in a skilled extended care facility. I enjoy my job and the people I work with. On this page, I hope to introduce you to some of them. Take your time, and I hope you have fun here.

Our administrator is fairly new to our place. At any given moment you can spot him in the hallways. His door used to be open to anyone who needed to talk with him.

This is our Asst Administrator. He is responsible for bringing all those computers into our facility. There is something installed in the closet next to the nurses' desk. Whatever's in there gives out strange twirps, brrpps & shrill tweets. He regularly goes in the closet & plays around with the stuff in there.

Here's our Director of Nursing. He's a whiz at generating paperwork (as if we need more). If you don't have a form for something, he'll make you two or three to fill out.

This is our Medical Director. He handles policies & procedures. He oversees all the 'medical' stuff. He's on the Board of Directors, (a good guy to know when you want a raise!) Poor guy's on call 24 hours a day. He keeps things running smoothly.

This is the Director of Social Services. He helps our residents adjust to our facility, and helps them with their problems. He always seems to be able to find time to listen to the employees, too.

Here is our Head of Security. He guards the building and the people in it. He will track down the smallest detail of any crime!

This is the residents' bunny. He lives in the enclosed courtyard,which he graciously shares with anyone who comes outside.

Last spring a few employees planted flowers in the courtyard and he loved it! He didn't much care for the marigolds, though. I guess they didn't taste as good as the others.

THE LITTLE BOY AND THE OLD MAN

Said the little boy, "Sometime I drop my spoon."
Said the little old man, "I do that, too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that, too", laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And the little boy felt the warth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.
