Hi folks !!! I received an E-mail from Peggy the other day asking for an update on Rhonda. Thanks Peggy, it is great to know someone is paying attention. Rhonda is fine. She is down about fifty pounds now and losing at a steady one and a half or two pounds a week. You know what they say slow and steady wins the race. Remember the tortise and the hare from when you were a kid. I did ask Rhonda however, if there was anything in particular she would like to share. She told me she was adapting to the small meals. She is having a problem learning to eat slowly enough. No matter how little she eats, if she tries to eat to fast a stomach ache is inevitable. She may even become nauseous. That is rare though. These are the things a person has to deal with when undergoing WLS. For Rhonda however, it is a small price to pay, and she is learning to eat properly. Everything takes time. All of our lives we eat in our own particular way. We started forming our eating habits when we were babies. Thus, learning a new way is more difficult than it sounds. Of course your new stomach will only let you consume so much. But just like those of us with normal stomachs you have to learn your limits before you reach them. Those of us that have not had WLS will feel some discomfort if we eat to fast or to much. But people like Rhonda have much more drastic results. I guess that is the whole purpose though right. Dah!! I will close for now. Next time I want to touch a little on the new Rhonda, as it relates to her new femininity, and self confidence. I do want to thank everyone who takes the time to read this and especially those who send Rhonda there best wishes.
