  • Nitrogen N.F.
          Uses:

  • Provides a source of pneumatic pressure for propelling medical equipment
  • Acts like a blanket to prevent reactions and combustion from taking place
  • A component for many gas mixtures.

  • Carbon Dioxide U.S.P.
        Uses:

  • To inflate areas of the body for "keyhole" surgery
  • Mixed with air or oxygen to simulate a person's breathing
  • The liquid's intense coldness is used for testing tooth sensitivity in dentistry or for cryosurgery.

  • Medical Air U.S.P.
        Uses:

  • Administering breathing treatments
  • Mixing component for other respiratory gases

  • Helium U.S.P.
        Uses:

  • A component of breathing mixtures for people with impaired lung functions.
