Thomas Goodrich

Thomas Goodrich is nationally certified in therapeutic massage by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) in Washington DC. He is a professional member of the International Massage Association (IMA), the American Specialy Health Networks (ASHN), and he holds a License to Practice Massage Therapy (LMT), number 2640, from the New Mexico Massage Therapy Board.

Thomas' formal education includes a Bachelor of Education degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, a Master of Music degree from The Mannes College of Music in New York City, and a Massage Therapy diploma from Crystal Mountain Apprenticeship in the Healing Arts in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Some of the life experiences which have enhanced Thomas' professional therapeutic massage practice include:

  • Various modalities of bodywork, Postural Integration, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Trager, among others;
  • Movement therapy and body movement awareness, Alexander Technique, modern dance, body-stretch techniques;
  • Psychological therapies, Re-Evaluation Counseling, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive therapy, stress management, time management;
  • Spiritual and eastern practices, breathwork, meditation, tai chi, visualization techniques, relaxation techniques;
  • Teaching experience, public/private K-12 teaching, curriculum development, developmental education, corporate training, technical training.

In addition, Thomas has garnered over 15 years experience as a professional classical musician and teacher, including 6 years as a corporate trainer and business analyst on Wall Street for Morgan Stanley.

This unique blend of life experience, professional training, and formal education give Thomas a solid background to create a flexible, cohesive working therapy tailored to each clients' specific needs.
