Wages
According to the Employment Ordinance, wages means all remuneration, earnings, allowances, tips and services charges payable to an employee in respect of work done or work to be done. Allowances including travelling allowances, attendance allowances, commission and overtime pay are within the definition of wages.

Incentive Awards All caretakers are eligible for the monthly incentive awards upon the completion of probationary period. Such award will be appraised by their department head in accordance with the caretakers’ work performance, attitude, responsibility and punctuality. The award will be paid into the caretaker’s account together with the monthly salary. The Company reserves the right not to pay such award if the caretaker’s performance is unsatisfactory.

Whilst an employee’s entitlements to year end bonus, maternity leave pay, severance payment, long service payment, sickness allowance, holiday pay, annual leave pay and wages in lieu of notice are calculated according to the definition of wages, so it is very important to understand the definition of wages.
Wages shall become due on the expiry of the last day of the wages period. An employer should pay wages to an employee as soon as practicable but in any case not later than 7 days after the end of the wage period.

Wages
An employee’s entitlements to end of year payment, maternity leave pay, severance payment, long service payment, sickness allowance, holiday pay, annual leave pay and wages in lieu of notice are calculated according to the above definition of wages.

Now I am working in the club house ( HONG KONG PARKVIEW). Due to the manpower is not enough, we must do our job overtime. And the ratio of OT’s claims is 1:1 in our company, it cannot claims for money.
This time, I will introduce the typhoon policy in our company. For example, the typhoon policy for office staff and operative staff who have the compare. As will as the following procedures will apply to all employee.
Compensation 1) No salary will be deducted if you are released from work or are not able to report for duty.
2) When typhoon signal no.8 is hoisted, if you are required to remain on duty would be entitled to have time in lieu in the following manner:
Transportation Transportation allowance will be provided for staff reporting Allowance duty where the black rainstorm warning is hoisted. at the .following rate:

Employees who wish to leave HONG KONG PARKVIEW under typhoon signal no.8 and without staff bus or shuttle bus available should inform their Department Heads in advance and they will be reimbursed the transportation allowance of HK$40. Claim for off duty transportation allowance should be made through Department/Section Heads and submit to Personnel Department for justification.
You will only entitle to either typhoon transportation allowance or early & late transportation allowance. No duplicated claims will be entertained.
