The History and Use of Acupuncture
Over 25 Centuries of Quality Health
Care
Acupuncture is an important branch of traditional Oriental medicine, which has a
continuous 3000 year history of development and refinement. This tradition is alive and well today; new
developments such as electro-acupuncture continue to be made, and new treatments for the modern
diseases of today continue to be created.
What Acupuncture Can
Do
In a nutshell, a skilled acupuncturist can help you enhance your health.
The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture's common use in treating over 200 conditions, and the National Institutes of Health recently published a consensus statement on acupuncture (see links).
I've taken the rest of this page down because in Washington state, the department of health appears to be challenging the right of acupuncturists to use Chinese medical theory in their practice. Thus, it is not clear to me what it is safe or legal for me to say on this website.
