Spot O' Heaven could not exist without its volunteers.  These selfless people come out week after week to give their time and their knowledge to helping others.  Some volunteers travel many miles to the Spot O' Heaven facility.  When asked, each volunteer will say that they get more out of working the lessons than they give.  The annual award for Volunteer of the Year is based on hours put in at the facility, and by feedback from riders, their families or guardians.

Kim, who also serves on the Spot O' Heaven Board of Directors, is a tireless worker on the behalf of SOH.  She is committed to making sure that our riders will be able to take advantage of the free lessons.  Kim demonstrates this by attending all of our fund-raising activities, by participating in the fund-raising efforts, by working lessons as a volunteer, and by helping  out in general ways around the facility doing whatever needs to be done on nearly a daily basis.  Her ideas and creativity have greatly improved  Spot O' Heaven.  We are grateful to her and very much appreciate her positive attitude, her sense of fun, and her creative spirit.  Congratulations Kim Lyons, Spot O' Heaven's Volunteer of the Year.
