Spot O' Heaven is a horseback riding facility for children and adults who may have mental, physical, emotional, or social impairments. To an individual with a disability, equine activities provide both challenges and rewards. Riders experience many benefits; increased balance, strength, muscle control, concentration, patience and self discipline. Also, a basis is laid for a unique relationship to develop between rider and horse. All riders benefit from the self- esteem and coping skills learned from this relationship. Spot O' Heaven offers lessons in riding free of charge to people who are especially challenged. We are supported entirely by donations and through the time and effort of our volunteers.
