I have been a government economist and also a community leader in the city where I live. I am best known now as the manager of many Internet resources for chronic fatigue syndrome / myalgic encephalomyelitis.

My favorite MUSIC The Beatles -- I am unable to add to what has already been said about the Beatles. The Corrs -- The greatest musical group since The Beatles. See my intro web page about the Corrs by clicking here. Gloria Estefan -- A wonderful performing artist whose music spans the two cultures of the Hispanics and the anglos. Faye Wong -- The number one pop singer in China, Wong makes excellent presentations of modern Western pop music to an Eastern audience. I particularly like her lush fantasy music, a kind that is usually found only in film scores. Albert King -- The greatest bluesmaster of all time. King was an extraordinary performer and innovator of electric blues. He was a role model for Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and many others. My favorite MOVIES FAIL-SAFE (Cold War thriller) -- This isn't just a movie, this almost happenned. A machine malfunction makes Americans and Soviets believe that they are preparing to attack each other. Each side is obliged to respond to the perceived threat, but if they do then nuclear war will destroy the Earth. You are the leader of your country -- what do you do? There are very, very few choices. For the real-life version of this story, see the docudrama Thirteen Days. MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING (romantic comedy) -- Jules' (Julia Roberts) life is going swimmingly until she gets word from her ex-boyfriend (her 'marriage back-up') that he's tying the knot with another gal. Her life turns upside down, and she is compelled to overturn everyone else's. Co-star Cameron Diaz should have won an Oscar for her performance in this film. TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY (Sci-fi) -- A fabulous sci-fi/action film. Great plot, revolutionary special effects, superb performance by Linda Hamilton. SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE (Romance) -- If you know nothing about Shakepeare, you will love this film. If you know everything about him, you'll love it twice as much. A world-class story, with clever parallels to the life and works of Bill Shakespeare.
