I couldn't believe how much snow there was still on the mountains. The first arrow points to the building where the tram lets you off. The second arrow is the summet of the mountain which you can hike to. Anthony went to the summit with a guide, while the rest of us decided to just sit and enjoy the view for a couple of hours.
view of the town of Jasper from the tram terminal. The town is actually in the shape of a "J"
Maligne Lake
Maligne Canyon....there are several of these waterfalls on the way down the canyon
Alissa, Guy and my Great Auntie Edna, on the bridge to Pyramid island
This is Pyramid Mountain. I think it's my favoite of all...because of all the mineral ore deposits in the rock, it has colors from pink to orange.
Lake Annette
Lake Edith I used to swim in these glacier lakes when I was growing up, so I dared the gang to do the same. They all got in for a swim while I sat on the beach and took pictures.
swimming at the new Miette Hot Springs pool
The old pool at Miette, where I used to swim, has been filled in and most of the buildings taken down. It was very sad to see.
This is the source of the Miette Hot Springs. The yellow you see is from sulpher in the water
This is another bear we saw at Miette, big guy and he was close! I think we saw 7 bears in all this trip
This is the beautiful stone house my mom grew up in, in Jasper
