| Since 1996 I have been making soap out of my home. The glycerin base used in my soaps contains only vegetable oils. For aromatic qualities I use essential oils or high quality fragrance oils. For additional skin nurturing qualities I include dried herbs, spices, flowers, glycerin, beeswax, fine oils (almond, olive, sunflower, etc.) or aloe vera gel. The combinations are endless! I make cold process soaps in small batches and cure them for at least three weeks. This curing period allows the soaps to reach the proper pH level, ensuring their mildness to the skin. |
