 The Premed required classes are as follows:

Biology - 1 year Bio 100 ANDBio 102
Physics - 1 year Phys 110 AND Phys 120
or
Phys 111 AND phys 121
General Chemistry - 1 year Chem 102 + Chem 103(lab)
AND
Chem 104 + Chem 105(lab)
Organic Chemistry - 1 year Chem 222 + Chem 223(lab)
AND
Chem 224 + Chem 225(lab)
English - 1 year Eng 120 AND Eng 220

      In addition, the following is recommended:

Calculus - 1 year Math 150 and Math 155

         Different Schools may require different classes.  Check each individual medical school website for their specific requirements.

         The following table lists subjects required by 10 or more U.S. medical schools and the number of schools that requires them. Figures based on fall 1998 data of 112 schools, which indicated specific course requirements.

         After the successful completion of each of the above classes (except for the english classes and the biology 100 and 102 lectures) each premed student is required to have a Premed Course Evaluation Form filled by the instructor and submitted to the pre-professional office.  These forms can be picked up from the pre-professional office at room 812HE.
