Dear Sir :
I saw you on a local talk show the other
night and found your lackadaisical attitude toward the people you deal with as
being extremely disappointing. But it wasn’t a surprise to me because of the
way you personally handle my case. Your failure to get my story on how I have
been bamboozled by a Tampa law firm is disheartening. I never received any
summons to appear in court, I have been taking care of my ailing mother, who
suffered from lymphoma for the last five years. The Monday (July 19, 2004) that
I appeared in front of you facing a contempt charge for not making the first
hearing, was the day after my Mother’s death. I tried to get it change, so I
could make my Mother’s funeral arrangements, but was unable to get hold of
anyone in your office, even though I left phone messages for someone to call me
back as soon as possible.
Let
me make it clear, the notice I got to appear in front of you on July 19, 2004
was the first of any kind that I have received in reference to this whole
conniving shenanigans. I now discover I lost a case because I wasn’t there,
that occurred, I believe, way back in January of this year. A case which I would
have certainly attended because I would have not lost it. There are many
reasons I would have not lost, not the least of which, would have been the
statutes of limitations. The apparent deference you give to a Tampa law firm
belies your oath to serve the people of Citrus County.
Another
note of interest, your incredulous demeanor you had when you found out I didn’t
receive my mail at home because I have a PO Box seems extraordinary, given the
fact that you also receive mail at a PO Box.
My
Mother’s ordeal is on the web at: http://geocities.datacellar.net/davidjgregory
Sincerely,
David J Gregory
