Forever
Friends
The Andrew
Brownsword Collection was formed in 1975 when Andrew published his first
range of Greetings Cards. Deborah Jones joined the company in 1980 after
Andrew was shown some of her work. The first ForeverFriends bears were
designed as part of a range called the Pioneers Collection, and were available
in the shops in February 1987. Forever Friends were then included in our
Young Edition range and
quickly became
very popular.
In 1989 The
Gifts Collection was introduced and a wide range of items featuring Forever
Friends was launched. During the same year other companies began producing
more specialist products (such as clothes) under license fromAndrew Brownsword,
and the characters became available on an even widerrange of goods.
In 1991 Forever
Friends was one of the first images since Victorian times to appear on
illustrated envelopes and Andrew Brownsword published the first Forever
Friends book, entitled "Up The Wooden Hill". In 1993 The Andrew Brownsword
Collection was acquired by the Hallmark Group, the largest greetings card
company in the world! We have many new productsbeing developed all the
time. This means that the Forever Friends bearsand bunnies can pop up in
all sorts of unusual places - so make sure you keep your eyes open!
