Monica, Hello! My husband, Ray Lee Witherspoon, is Donald Ray Witherspoon's son. Donald Ray Witherspoon is Ray Witherspoon's (born in 1915 and twin of Roy Witherspoon) son. Ray Witherspoon and Roy Witherspoon are brothers of Dorothy Nell Witherspoon Moore (your grandmother)! I have a list of four children (Arthur, Joseph Henry, John, and Alta) from Joseph Young Witherspoon's first marriage to Caroline Jenkins. I do not know of any children from his second marriage to Vinny Brown. I have a list of known children that survived past infancy from his third marriage to Clydie Bell (girls = Ula May [Hines], Ruth [?], Mary [Bennett], Francis [Odom], Pearl [?], Dorothy Nell [Moore] and boys = Bill, Ona, Jay, Garvin, Ray & Roy, Horace). The girls new married names are in [brackets]. I am sooo happy to find this sight! I have found out that Dorthy Nell Witherspoon's father was Joseph Young Witherspoon (born: November 22, 1857 and died: March 19, 1939). His father parents were Joseph H. Witherspoon and Sarah Sallie Garvin, but that is all I know.
