At age 8 James moved to Riverton, NE.
1905 he moved to western Nebraska, later moved to Colorado.
Spent last 4 years in Aloha, OR.

He had very bad teeth but was afraid of dentists. His descendants feel his continual ill health was caused by bad teeth.

James always joked with folks that he married Ethel young and raised her to suit himself.
