The purpose of the list is to discuss weight loss surgery and to support people in investigating and undergoing weight loss surgery.  All aspects of weight loss surgery, physical and emotional reactions are on-topic. 2. Subjects not related to weight loss surgery may be discussed, but should be discreet.  Other people may have very different beliefs or values to your own and you should be considerate to their beliefs. The subject line should indicate that this is off-topic. 3. People may tell us things on this list that they do not tell their family, employer or minister.  Respect these confidences. 4. Flaming on the list will be regarded as a serious breach of etiquette.  Persistent offenders may be removed from the list.  Posting private messages to the list to show others in a bad light will be regarded as flaming. 5. The subject line should indicate what the post is about.  E.G. Women's problems, Insurance, Post-op Eating. 6. Some people have problems with strong language.  Let's keep the language at a level that we would be happy using with our mothers, grandmothers, or whoever you respect. 7. People whose mailboxes fill up will be removed, and may rejoin. 8. Above all else let's keep supporting each other, and have fun.
