CHIP MOODY Chip Moody, a great TV news anchorman, who worked mostly in the Dallas Fort Worth area, died at age 54. He had numerous health problems after being treated for Hodgkin's disease in 1986.



He received the "Katie" (Dallas Press Club) for Excellence in Reporting in 1992 and the Buck J.T. Marryat Award for outstanding contribution to communications, a lifetime achievement award from the Dallas Press Club and American Airlines.

Chip was in 2 Oliver Stone movies, Talk Radio (1988), Born on the Fourth of July (1989). He wrote a book that was published in 1995, "Moments: The Life and Career of a Texas Newsman".
