Csercsics reports that Ronolog 1.0 works well with mIRC
version 5.6.
- Some
people run multiple instances of mIRC in conjunction with
a screen reader like JAWS. To distinguish between them,
one can assign them different titles. In mIRC follow this
menu sequence: FIle,Options...,

June 9 - Today David Csercsics told me about an IRC
server called "blindnet.za.org", which is part
of the "Deepspace" IRC
network. It is said to include many
vision-impaired among its users.

October 12 - Today Walter Horowitz reported Ronolog 1.0
works on the latest pre-release of Windows 2000.

February 29 - Ronolog 1.2 released.

June - Walter Horowitz notes an error in the RONOLOG.INI
file included with Ronolog 1.2. Modify the line beginning
"n45" to add a trailing hyphen to read:
n45= /ronolog In statuswindow you typed $1-

July - Leslie Lee Elms advises VI users may prefer to
suppress the use of "wallpaper" in mIRC. To do
this, modify the line in the RONOLOG.INI file included
with Ronolog 1.2 beginning "n79" to read:
n79= /background -mx

August 9 - Ronolog 1.3 is released because Lernout &
Hauspie American English TTS engine is withdrawn from
publication by Microsoft. After publication is restored,
version Ronolog 1.2 is the recommended version once
again.

February 5 - Issue warning about security flaw in mIRC
versions prior to 6.0 announced here. Recommend
that Ronolog users upgrade at once to
mIRC 6.0 or later version.
