You can include pictures or not.  We charge a minimum of Php50 for an ads without any picture.  It is entitled to 100 words only.  And  we charge a minimum of Php100 for an ads with one picture.  It is entitled to one 3R size picture (3 inches by 5 inches) and 100 words.  Each ads will be online for 60 days,  24 / 7.

1.  How is the 100- word limit counted?  And, what do you consider as a "word"?

For practical purposes, we consider something as a "word" if it is found in the dictionary and has a meaning.  Also we consider any series of characters that is between two spaces as a "word".  In this respect, a telephone number will be counted as one word and an email address is also counted as one word.  We also consider some distinguishable abbreviations like "sqm" (for square meter) as one word and "9 - 5 pm" (for 9:00 o'clock morning to 5:00 o'clock afternoon)) as three words.  A word of caution:  please try to avoid using abbreviations because you run the risk of being misunderstood.  Words come so cheap in here anyway, so take advantage.  

For the 100-word limit, if your payment is only for 100 words, and you sent more than 100,  then the last words after count 100 will be omitted or ignored.

2.  Can I add more words?

Yes.  Every additional 100 words or fraction thereof costs only 20 pesos.  So if your ads has a picture and 200 words, that will cost only Php120 total (Php100 for the minimum fee and Php20 for the extra 100 words).

3.  Can I use a language or dialect other than English?
        Yes.  Say for example you have a bakeshop in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.  Then it makes sense if you will advertise in Ilocano because your target market are Ilocanos.  However, we emphasize that we are all Tagalogs in here and we may encounter difficulties reading strange words from other dialects, so please write legibly.  Pero makakaasa kayo na kung anuman ang isinulat ninyo, y'un ang lalabas sa ads.

4. Can I add more pictures?
        Yes.  Every additional picture costs Php50.  So if your ads has three pictures and 200 words, then that would total to Php220  (Php100 for the minimum charge that includes 100 words and one picture, plus Php20 for the extra 100 words, and Php100 for the extra two pictures).

5.  Can I extend an ads, and is there a discount on the extension?

        Yes.  We have set each period of publication to 60 days.  And every period of  extension is also 60 days.  You have two options for the extension with different rates of discounts:

  • 40% discount will be applied to every period of extension if it is paid together with or at the same time with the application for the initial period.  Taking the example above, the initial period costs 220, and one extension period following that would costs only 132 (60% of 220).  We should receive all Php352  at the same time.
  • 20% discount will be applied to a period of extension if it is paid not at the same time with or after the payment for the initial period (usually when the ads is nearing its expiration date).   Taking the example above, if the initial period (that costs Php220) is already nearing its expiration, and you intend to extend it for another 60 days (one period), then you should send us Php176 (80% of 220).  If you applied for two extensions, the other period is entitled to 40% discount (of 220).  However, for us to effect the extension, we should receive the payment 15 days before the expiry date of the ads, and you should provide us the ITEM# of your ads and some other info or details.  If we failed to effect your extension, either because it has already expired or you failed to provide us the Item#, it is necessary that you also send us a self-addressed, self-stamped envelope so we can send you back your supposed payment.

6. Can I put my ads in two or more categories?
        Yes.  Say for example you have a house for sale and while it is still not being sold, you want to have it for rent.  Then you can have it listed under "house and lot for sale", and also under under "house for rent".  Also, say for example you have a private elementary school in Legaspi City and also a branch of the same school in Naga City, then you can have it listed under "schools in Camarines Sur" and also under "schools in Albay".  You can have different "words" for each listing, but the pictures that accompany those listings can be the same.  For every additional listing, we charge Php50 which is also good for 100 words.  The rule on additional words apply, i.e. if your other listing has 200 words, then that would cost Php70.  The extension discount applies to categories as well.  For the list of categories, please CLICK HERE.

7. Can I use vicinity maps?
        Yes.  Vicinity maps are great for industrial and commercial properties.  Also for farms and rawlands.  We consider a vicinity map as a picture.  But it has limitations.  It's size should be 3R (3 inches by 5 inches) or multiples of it up to three times (i.e. 6 inches by 5 inches or 9 inches by 5 inches) in white paper or background.  The rules on the costing of pictures apply, i.e. the vicinity map with a size 9 inches by 5 inches (3 times the size of 3R) would cost Php150 (3 times the cost of a 3R).

8.  Can I modify an ads?

         No.  We don't make modifications on any ads.  You can however file another ads that will have all the modifications you want, but we'll treat it as a new application, and it will be under a different Item#.  The first one will still be on publication until it expires.

9.  Can I stop an ads?
         No.  We don't stop an ads.  We just let it expire, then we delete it.  It is difficult for us to determine the true identity of the person who wants the ads to be stopped.  For example, if the husband wants to sell the family car and the wife refuses, then it's hard for us to know who is who.

10.  What about banner-ads and "special featured boxes"?
        We are not accommodating banner-ads yet.  Special featured boxes will be available on some of the web pages and the price will be available on the space ads itself.  Other details are provided through a hyperlink located on the space ads.  They should be great for subdivisions, condominiums, brand new vehicles, "movie reviews", special events like concerts, or announcements like when somebody topped the Board Exam.
