Autobiography of Dr. Anton Tchernev, DMD
I was born on May 30, 1969 in Sofia, Bulgaria. My parents are physicians.
My father, Dr. Tchavdar Tchernev, MD is anaesthesiologist at the National Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sofia.
My mother, Dr. Krassimira Antova is surgeon at the Clinic of Burn Injuries in the Scientific Institute of Emergency Medicine "N.I.Pirogov", Sofia.
I accomplished my Primary education in 1983 in the School "Elin Pelin" in Sofia.
During the school year 1983/1984 I studied in Tunis, Tunisia in the French Lyceum "Pierre Mendes-France".
I continued my education in the Lycée français de Sofia "George Kirkov". I completed my Secondary education in 1988.
I've done my military service in the years 1988-1990. I was promoted to sergeant-junior in the army.
In 1990-1996 I was regulary student of dentistry in the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical University of Sofia.
In 1991 I was one of the founding members of the Society of the french-speaking dentists in Bulgaria.
In 1992 I participated in the 16-th Jubilee Congress of the Bulgarian Scientific Dental Society.
From 1992 to my graduation in 1996 I was a member of the Student Scientific Society of the History of Medicine (1993 - it's Secretary and in 1994-1996 - it's President).
In 1995 I took part in the 7-th Congress of GADEF (Groupement des Associations Dentaires Francophones) held in Sofia.
I received my DMD degree in 1996. In the same year I begun work in the 4-th United City Hospital, Sofia like dentist.
Since July 1, 1997 I'm member of the Bulgarian Dental Association. After a competitive examination in 1998 I was admitted to specialization in the field of general dentistry.
In December 1999 because of the reform in the hospital structures countrywide, I was transferred to XX-th Polyclinic - Sofia, continuing to work in the building of 4-th United City Hospital.
