Let me tell you a little about my mother,
Barb.
In February 1996, she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 57. She was always a
strong outgoing person. Never smoked, drank etc. . She had her breast removed at the time
of her exploratory surgery.
A year later, in March she was diagnosed
with lymphomia and had to
undergo chemotherapy, then later radiation and then back to chemo. The cancer
kept spreading, to her lung, liver, and neck. It seemed to be never ending. If not
one thing then another.
I remember a few years ago I wanted to be the strong
outgoing person my mother was. Now I
do believe I have it in me somewhere.
AUGUST 29, 1998
Today mom received the results from her last scans. The cancer has spead to another spot on her her liver and into her bones, and brain. She is in the hospital now for fluid drainage. She remains in everyone prayers.
SEPTEMBER 27, 1998
More bad news today. My mother only has three months to live. She has grown weaker that ever and is now bed ridden. She has lost about 30 pounds and looks thin and frail.
If you have happened to drop in please take a moment to say a prayer for her.
Here are some links to some cancer sites that I have
found. If it helps someone, I would feel
that at least my mother didn't go through all of this in vain. Hang in there
