The Junior Knights are a midget league football team and
they are AWESOME!
(OK, so I'm a little biased )
"little people", its the little league version of football. Ages range from 8
yrs of age
to age 14 or 140 pounds. They are broken into 4 teams; A Team contains the oldest
and largest, working down the alphabet to B,C, & D teams with D being the youngest
1st year players. I'm sorry to say I missed the 1999 season since I moved to Philadelphia
for
college. I admit it, I was working two jobs and taking classes and couldn't leave the city
long
enough to get up for a game. I apologize to all the little guys!
I miss them a lot and though I left the program in good hands,
I hope I can spend a little time with them in the coming years.
In the 1998 season (and in fact for several season's now)
C Team has been undefeated!
Last season all three eligible teams made it to the championships (the D team
is listed as non-competitive, its a learning year), A & B lost in the last minutes,
but
C team won again! This year, all 3 are going all the way!
AND Its OFFICIAL!!! The Junior Knights Have won their
division!
A,B, & C Teams are all Division Champs!!WAY TO GO GUYS!!
OK Here's the update I promised...well
Part of it at least-win/loss record for 1997 coming soon
A & B teams made it from Playoffs to Championships!!
The C team didn't make it this time (sorry guys, get 'em next year!)
Playoffs took place Sunday November 9, 1997 at GardenSpot High School.
A team lost by 1 point during a rainy, turnover filled game.
B team
For all the guys and gals (cheerleaders too!)I have only one thing to say!
