Welcome,

(updated Feburary 24, 2009)

Thanks for taking the time to check me out, who knows you may like me.

PAST HISTORY ON ME AND MY LIFE
I live in Castro Valley, California, where the weather is most times great. I am only a motorcycle trip away from the City, San Francisco. It takes me about 30 minutes on the average.

Just some brief history: I was born and raised in Carmel, CA. 8th grade we moved to Garberville, CA and built our own house. My senior year of high school I moved to Castro Valley, 1980. I went to Columbia College, near Sonora. After graduation in 1982, I went to New York to The Culinary Institute of America , in Hyde Park. After that I moved to the Big Apple to get back into acting, 1985. There I sang, danced, modeled and waited tables, that lasted 6 years. I moved back to California in 1990, to Castro Valley. For six years I took care of my Grandmother until she died Aug 12, 1996.

Met my partner, July 13, 1995, and ready for change of career. I moved to our house on July 3, 1997 and it is just beautiful.

In 2000 I left waiting tables to work for United Airlines with the hope in 5 years I would go from B scale pay, to A scale. In 2001 I spent my 40th birthday studying to be a Purser so that I could work on the wide bodied planes and travel working in First Class. I was chosen for the position as Purser, something that takes most flight attendants take years to achieve I did it in one year. Everything was great and my plans were going well... until 9/11. Most people don't think that that day changed their lives too much; few knew anyone that was on the planes, working or otherwise. For me it ended everything I cared about and took away my confidence. I was working at trip back from Orlando, Florida. As in the plane that was leaving Boston flight 175, I was on 275, same size plane with full fuel and 88 passengers. When the World trade Centers were hit, my plane was forced out of the sky to land anywhere safe. We had two fighter jets on either side of us as we landed in Amarillo TX. Looking back I believe with all my heart that we had two terrorist on board our plane. Two men that didn't fit in, whom also spent all their time going to first class to use the restroom. The other flight attendants thought something was not right with these two men, more then just nervous passengers, they were so jumpy. After we landed we spent 4.5 days with no contact or help from United. It was my job to take care of the last 35 remaining passengers to see that we got them home to San Francisco. To make a long story short, too late, we arrived back to SFO and my life was never the same. Due to fear no one was flying. I was laid off for 6 months, took two pay cuts, United took away our pension, when I went back to flying all layovers were at the airports, no down town layovers. United went after flight attendants to lower the numbers to save money, so that they could give raises to management. I lost my job, Sept. 6th, 2005, after a supervisor put a passangers life in danger. My union wouldn't help support me, and I lost my job. A year before I left United, I was flying and the airplane hit clear air. I hit the ceiling of the plane and then slammed into the floor, it wasn’t until later I was in the shower washing my feet that I fell down and couldn’t walk for three weeks. From the accident on the plane I had three bulges on my spine, which pinched my nerves causing terrible pain. It has been 3 years since I couldn’t walk. I work everyday getting my body back to shape. I still have pain, and will never be able to lift anything heavy. But, now I can step off a curb and know my right leg won’t give out.

May 2008 got a great part-time job working for a catering company Beets Catering. It has been fun working the weekends as a bartender. I work with some great people.

The good news is I have spent this time off working on my house, remodeling every inch of it. Here is the Kitchen 2008, I put in new granite and a bamboo floor. Before I had almond tile on the counters and yellow vinly on the floor.

I spend my time looking for work, trying to decide what it is that I want to do when I grow up. Funny thing is I have lost my confidence in myself and don’t know what it is that will make me happy. Don’t worry I haven’t given up on myself each day I search my soul and heart to reinvent myself.

Just a few highlights in my life:
