assisting with setting up the jointly organized booth at Huntsville's Gay Pride Festival
in June. Thanks to VSA members Louise Bennett, Vicki Brigman, and Carolyn
Mobley for setting up and populating the booth and enduring the rain. Thanks to
Barbara Parks and Hilary Evans for their assistance in taking the booth down
and returning "stuff" to Jamo's. Thanks to the festival organizers
for the invitation.

NEW BOARD OFFICERS ELECTED
VSA-NAR's Board of Directors held annual elections in April. The board
has changed substantially. We welcome Vicki Brigman and Alan Davis to the board. Vicki will
be the new Chair of the board; Alan will be Vice Chair. Congratulations to the new members!
Marcia Ashford and Hilary Evans (that's me) have resigned from the board. Many thanks to
Marcia (and me) for your (my) help with VSA. Whew, that was confusing.
Regular board meetings will be held on the second Monday of every other month at 7:00 p.m.
in the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library. The next meeting will be August 11. Board
meetings are open to the public.
