One of our primary goals has been not only to treat breast cancer, but to discover new treatments that will slow cancer growth and possibly destroy the cancer altogether.

We have made great advances. We have discovered that certain biological factors will tell us how fast a tumor is growing. We have also developed a new drug called MPTC-63 that shows promising results.

Continuing along this path and working with other scientists, we are able to bring new hope to our patients.

Funding, however, is always a limitation. Dr. Elliott has created The Breast Foundation to accept donations. The Foundation is a not for profit organization. All contributions are fully tax-deductible. (Tax ID #59-7800251)

Our attack on breast cancer is multi-facted and involves:

1) To fully support clinical research;

2) To support and fund basic, medical research in the areas of:

a) Molecular biology,

b) Iron metabolism and innovative chemotherapy,

c) New imaging modalities for early detection,

d) Tumor immunology and immunotherapy.

3) To support education through:

a) Support groups and seminars for the public,

b) Fellowships and internships for students

c) Post-doctoral fellowships.

4) To support and provide care for the indigent patient.

Our goals for the future include the successful establishment and utility of the above plan. In addition, the Breast Foundation has as its heart -- its patients. The Foundation will enable for chemotherapy suites, an outpatient surgical center dedicated to breast health care, dormitory facilities for the families of our patients, added research facilities, and a lecture auditorium for international symposia. These goals can become a reality with your help and love.
