Heartstart Discovery is a project offering Emergency Life Support training to members of the public.
The scheme is run by trained volunteers and courses are provided free of charge  (although contributions towards the work of the scheme are always welcome).

  Participants need no previous medical knowledge to take part  and basic Cardio-Pulmonary-Resuscitation techniques are taught in a two hour session.

Heartstart Discovery was launched at Discovery Point in Dundee in June 1997 with funding from Claverhouse Rotary.  A substantial grant for equipment (manikins, accessories, literature etc.) was received from the
British Heart Foundation which Co-ordinates Heartstart UK.  Grateful thanks are expressed to all fundraisers and supporters without whom this project would not be possible.
