2005 World Congress on Huntington’s Disease

The World Congress on Huntington’s Disease, will take place in Manchester, UK, from 10th to 13th September 2005.

 Scientific programme

The Congress is a joint meeting of the World Federation of Neurology Research Group on HD and the International Huntington Association (IHA), traditionally held every two years. Since the 2003 Congress in Toronto the meeting has been restructured to offer a scientific program that is open to both researchers and HD organisations.

The scientific programme includes presentations covering genetics; drug discovery and development; neurology; genetic counselling; the latest advances in therapeutic areas; clinical trial results and future plans; public policy and education. The Congress will therefore be of interest to all researchers and health professionals interested in HD, and to members of HD organisations.

 International Huntington Association

The Congress will be followed by an extended meeting of the IHA on 14th and 15th September 2005, which will feature updates and reports on the work of the IHA member organisations, the AGM of the IHA, and presentations related to the work of IHA members around the world.
