My New Set of Wheels
Thinking, poor dear, shes stuck in that chair.
But Im not sad, Im very happy because
I havent forgotten the way it was.
A walk in the park will be good for you.
I was thinking tomorrow, Ill be a wreck,
From my aching feet, to the pain in my neck.
I was thinking but theres no place to sit down.
For you its a snap, just to go to the store,
But for me the ordeal was more of a chore.
I can shop in the mall with new-found ease,
Do all the things that have to be done,
And even go out and have some fun.
To be sitting here between these wheels?
Can you remember back that far,
When you got your very first car?
They dont hold me down, they set me free.
So, dont think all those pitiful things:
These arent wheels, I think theyre my wings.
